...whatever I choose to call it, October 24, 2006 is THE day. The day that I have been working towards for the past 21 months.....a day that will NEVER be forgotten. It's the day that I will have Maya in my arms.
I can't wait, baby!

May, 2005
I was looking over my timeline for this adoption process and saw the following two significant entries from May, 2005 - Maya's birth month. Interesting!
May 19, 2005 - Had a VERY weird dream this morning about giving birth to a baby girl named Maya..odd thing is that I was still very much in the process of adopting Maya from China. All I can say is...huh? So..I'm jotting this date down to see if it might be a "red-thread moment"
(this remains my one and only dream that I've had about Maya during this long process)
May 26, 2005 - My dossier papers went to CCAI today!!
(the completion of my paperwork...back when I thought that I would receive a referral in January or February of 2006)

17 days / 3 weeks
It is really getting REAL! Dad and I leave for China in just 17 days.
Maya will be in my arms in just three short weeks.
I am experiencing a wonderful mix of emotions...excited, nervous, overwhelmed, but most of all happy beyond belief that I am this close to meeting my daughter.
My friend Robin is leaving in just over 24 hours to meet her new daughter Lauren. I'm so happy to be able to watch her journey unfold - and it will give me something to look forward to every morning when I wake up and check out her blog!
