Splish Splash

Maya LOVES bath time! Particularly when there are bubbles involved. Here are some pictures from a recent bath....

I'm looking forward to signing Maya up for swim classes - I will bet that she just LOVES being in the water!

Big girl....

So...Maya has been showing some interest in potty training. She has the language skills for it - and will go "on demand" if I hold her over the big potty. She has gone 4 times in the past 2 days. I know that I can't sell my stock in Pampers just yet, but.....the time is near.

And - since I'm not likely to remember to post it on the actual day - we are just days away from our four month "forever family day" anniversary. Can you believe that she has been with me for 4 months already? Seems like yesterday that I met this little girl...

Looking at that picture makes me want to cry. She looks so sad (and a little bit worried). What a difference 120 days makes.

Maya's Baptism

Maya was baptized today!

I was nervous about the whole day. I was nervous about the baptism...her behavior during mass (we usually spend a good part of the mass in the "cry" room)...how she would react to Fr. Chuck (still not fond completely comfortable with men)...and just the whole being on display part of the baptism.

She did GREAT! Ok..so, she wasn't too happy with Fr. pouring the water over her head or touching her at all. She actually pouted at him after the water part, which was kind of funny. But..overall, she was good.

Then we had a party back at our house...of which I was a bit nervous about 25+ people (the feeding, the space, the everything).

That, too, went well.
